Yesterday Nikon announced that they have partnered with the Boston Red Sox to install a state-of-the-art Robotic Pod camera system from Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC is a Nikon company) throughout Fenway Park to capture still images and full HD videos. According to PetaPixel Nikon Professional Services (NPS) installed five Robotic Pods at various locations in the park. The weatherproof Robotic Pod contains a Nikon D5 DSLR camera (why not D6?) equipped with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR lens: Other lenses can also be attached if needed.
